Machine Wash Cold: To ensure the longevity of the fabric and maintain the color vibrancy, it's best to machine wash our clothing in cold water. Washing clothing in cold water helps prevent shrinkage and reduce energy consumption, making it not only better for your apparel but also for the environment.
Air Drying: We recommend air drying to preserve the fabric's integrity and elasticity. Tumble drying or machine drying can apply excessive heat and agitation, which may cause the fabric to lose its shape, decrease its stretchability, and fade the colors prematurely. Air drying extends the life of your clothing and saves energy.
Do Not Add Bleach: Bleach is harsh on fabrics and can weaken the fibers over time. It can also cause discoloration and remove the color completely from colored fabrics. Avoid using bleach and opt for mild detergents to keep your clothing looking its best.
Do Not Use an Iron: Our clothing is designed to minimize wrinkles naturally due to the fabric's resilience and elasticity. Using an iron can apply unnecessary heat that might damage the fabric, affect its stretchability, and alter the finish. If you need to remove wrinkles, hanging the garment in a steamy bathroom or using a garment steamer on a low setting is safer.
How to read a garment care label
The care label on most of our clothing includes four primary symbols, each indicating specific care instructions for the garment. Here's a guide on how to read these symbols:
- Wash in Cold Water (30°C): The symbol with a basin and water at 30°C suggests that the garment should be washed using cold water, on a gentle cycle, if possible, to maintain the integrity of the fabric.
- Do Not Tumble Dry: The square with a circle inside crossed out indicates that the garment should not be put in the dryer. It is recommended to hang or lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight and heat to prevent the garment from shrinking or warping.
- Do Not Bleach: The triangle crossed out suggests that bleach should not be used on this garment.
- Do Not Iron: The iron symbol with a cross through it means that you should not iron the garment.
Additional Note on Detergent Use: When adding detergent or any other washing products, it's important to let them dissolve in the water first before placing the garment in the wash. This is because the chemicals in some detergents can cause discoloration or fabric damage if they are poured directly onto the garment.
Following these care instructions will help ensure that your leggings and other similar garments maintain their shape, color, and technical properties for as long as possible.
